2 – CHAT

We will schedule a quick chat to learn more about your travel requirements.


Once you decide to work with Spondeo, we’ll send you a travel service agreement to review and sign if you want to proceed. This clarifies our mutual committment and sets out all fees and charges.

4 – PLAN

This is the exciting part! We’ll start researching and planning the perfect getaway! We’ll provide you with a detailed itinerary including added options for you to choose from based on our initial discussion.

5 – BOOK

Once you’ve chosen your final itinerary, we will secure your booking, providing you with with payment links, timetables and/or other payment details.



Things can and do sometimes go wrong, but don’t worry! We’ll be there to help with questions, support and follow up from the time your trip is booked until you return home.

About Scott

Travel addict, foodie and sometimes consultant

Inspired by my parents passion for travel, I was hooked on stories of far away lands from an early age. I have spent the best part of my adult life wanting to know what was over the hill or around the next corner.

Prefering more “off the path” destinations, I used my love of diving to broarden my travel horizons. From here, I began working for an iternational company, living at one time on every continent. I love the cultural diversity that travel provides, from tasting local specialty dishes to managing a greeting in a foriegn language – there is just so much to experience!

My Approach

My work has taken me all over the globe for the best part of 20 years. The down side is countless hours spent comparing airlines and flight options, being stranded in the wrong part of a foriegn city or getting stuck in the “accommodation from hell”. I use these learnings to save my clients from making some of the same mistakes I have made.

Closer to home, I use personal experience to advise on the best airlines, travel logistics and how to get the best value for your budget. Further afield, we rely on a network of partners, associates and destination experts – built up over a number of years. Our aim is to get you: where you want to go, to see what you want to see, for a price you’re happy to pay.

As a travel organisation, we know the industry and how to get great discounts, special rates, optional extras and access to unique services. This we pass on to you, the client. In most cases, the savings we provide exceed our service fee. We also provide travel advice, recommendations, and follow up support – just in case you run into problems in a foriegn country.

Why should I hire a travel planner?

If you’re looking to do something a bit unique or specific, have special dietry or access requirements, want to sample more of a regions food and wine or just want to do specialised activities. A travel planner gives you all the control without the headaches.

What if we don't like the accommodation, is there a refund?

No, the same as if you had booked it yourself. We use our unique search system to find the best accommodation to suit your needs and budget. During the planning phase, you are given details of your accommodation and the option for us to book it or find alternatives. We pride ourselves on the ability to deliver excellent accommodation choices. 

Do you book airline tickets?

Every airline is different, we prefer to pre-reserve your flights then send you the details so you can make the payment. In some cases this this is impractical so we will book using your credit card details after your approval.

Do you receive a commission from service providers?

No. One of our underlying principals is that we give informed, honest advice to our clients without compromise. If we can secure a discount, we pass that discount onto you, our client because thats how we earn our income.

Isn't hiring a travel planner expensive?

We charge 9% of the total planned cost of your trip. Considering we know how to find the best accommodation at industry prices, can quickly identify great value airfares and transport options, we believe we can deliver a better package, cheaper than you can yourself.

What if we decide to cancel halfway through the planning process?

Clients can opt out up to 4 weeks before departure and loose only 50% of the service fee payable but airfares and some accommodation will not be refundable. After 4 weeks to departure full service fee payment is expected. See our terms and conditions for a more detailed answer.
